Meet David

David Gomberg was first elected to the Oregon House of Representatives in 2012.

He represents House District 10, which now includes Lincoln and western Benton and Lane Counties.

David graduated from Oregon State where he served as student body president and earned his Bachelor’s in Political Science in 1976, and a Master's Degree in Economics, Political Science and History in 1977. Four years later he earned an MBA from Willamette University.

In 1989, David and Susan moved to the Coast and created Gomberg Kite Productions - an internationally recognized kite design and manufacturing company, eventually growing their business to three retail kite stores, and creating dozens of jobs in their community. The Gombergs performed with their largest kites for Disney, motion pictures, and kite festivals in more than 40 countries, and in 2005 they were inducted as members of the International Kite Hall of Fame.

David is vice-chair of the Ways and Means budget committee, co-chair of the Transportation & Economic Development subcommittee, and served on the Special Committee for Wildfire Recovery.

He is a member of the Governor's Commission on Senior Services, the Ocean Science Trust, the Oregon Seismic Policy Advisory Commission, and the Oregon Innovation Council which creates and supports new business.

David's legislative efforts have focused on being an independent mind for our small communities on the Coast and Coastal Range.

He is a champion for affordable housing, small businesses, reviving our public education system, government efficiency, environmental sustainability, and ensuring independence and dignity for seniors.

“I’ve fought for $70 million in infrastructure investments – creating good-paying jobs for families and supporting the quality of life we all love about this special place we are fortunate enough to call home.”
