An independent voice standing up for us

David Gomberg is protecting our way of life and fighting for what matters most to our communities in Salem.

Meet David

David and his wife of 35 years, Susan, moved to the Coast in 1989 where they created Gomberg Kite Productions – an internationally recognized kite design, manufacturing, and retail company. Their customers include Disney, the Super Bowl, and international kite festivals, and in 2005 they were inducted as members of the International Kite Hall of Fame.

David has represented the coast and coastal range in Salem as a legislator for House District 10 since 2012. His service has brought an independent mind to the state capitol and delivered more than $70 million in infrastructure investments to the district in the last year alone.

In their spare time, David and Susan give back to community organizations in Oregon and abroad. David has raised over $500,000 for schools, museums and education non-profits as a charity auctioneer, and he and Susan have been named patrons by Cape Mental Health for their work with disabled children in the townships of South Africa.

As our legislator, David Gomberg successfully:

  • Delivered $70 million in infrastructure investments for the Coast and Coastal Range

  • Secured $1 million to address homelessness directly in our district

  • Led historic investments in small businesses and workforce development

  • Supported Oregon’s healthcare infrastructure

  • Drove assistance for Oregon’s seniors and veterans

  • Stood up to Portland to deliver for Oregon communities

And that’s just the beginning.
